During one week, you can make an amazing journey to Georgia, where ancient sights take a back seat, giving way to one of the country’s main treasures – its wines and national dishes. The tour program is designed so that excursions to historical monuments will be replaced by gastronomic, and sometimes wine tastings. Do not miss the chance to taste the beauty of Georgia.
Day 1: Tbilisi - Arrival
Arrival in Tbilisi. Our driver will meet you and take you to the hotel.
After a short rest, will begin tour of Tbilisi. You will visit the Church of Metekhi, a monument to the legendary founder of the city - King Vakhtang Gorgasali. Then climb the cable car to the Narikala fortress, from where a breathtaking panorama of Tbilisi will open. The fortress and its surroundings were considered the most important point of trade and a place of rest on the Great Silk Road. Going down to the sulfur baths area, and passing by the only mosque in Tbilisi, you will find yourself among the cozy cafes and souvenir shops of the Shardin district. The narrow streets with wine cellars and art galleries keep the spirit of Old Tbilisi. They will lead you to the temple of Sioni (named after the Mount of Zion), Anchiskhati Basilica of the 6th century and the unique clock tower of the Puppet Theater of Rezo Gabriadze, Bridge of Peace, leading to Rike Park.
In the evening, visit a local restaurant and enjoy traditional Georgian dishes. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 2: Tbilisi - Telavi - Shumi - Tsinandali - Telavi
The guide and driver will meet you at the hotel to start your trip to Kakheti, the birthplace of winemaking. From Tbilisi to the capital of the region, Telavi, there is a beautiful streamer - Gombor Pass. In Telavi took place the shooting of the legendary film "Mimino", which depicts a monument to Heraclius II. Visit the museum-fortress Batonis-Tsyhe in the center of Telavi. In the XVII - XVIII centuries, this fortress was the residence of the Kakhetian kings. Departure from Telavi to Tsinandali, where the winery is located Schumi. The wine-making company Shumi has created its own wine museum, Visioni. There are collected 294 names of Georgian grapes and 92 varieties of foreign. After visiting the museum, enjoy a delicious lunch and wine tasting in Schumi. The last stop for today is in Tsinandali, where the residence of Prince Chavchavadze, father-in-law of the Russian writer Alexander Griboedov, is located. The estate is rich in a luxurious English park and a collection of the oldest wines of Georgia: wines from the 40s of the 19th century are kept in Tsinandali cellars. Wine degustation. Day 3: Telavi - Gremi - Kvareli - Sighnaghi - Bodbe - Tbilisi
The continuation of the journey through Kakheti and the Alazani Valley will begin with a visit to the architectural complex of Gremi, the capital of the Kakheti Kingdom of the 16th century, and continue in the wine tunnel of the wine-making company Hareba. The tunnel was cut through in the rock of the Caucasian Ridge in the mid-50s of the last century for military purposes, but over time it lost its purpose and was abandoned. Since 2004, "Khareba" uses the building in a picturesque area to store its best wines. Wine tasting in the tunnel. Continuing the journey to the city of love Sighnaghi, which in the Middle Ages was one of the most important trading points on the Silk Road, surrounded by a fortified wall with 23 towers. Lunch in Sighnaghi and return to Tbilisi. On the way, stopping at the monastery complex Bodbe, where St. Nino was buried, who brought Christians to Georgia in the fourth century. Day 4: Tbilisi - Ananuri - Kazbegi - Gudauri - Tbilisi
At 08:30 a trip to Ananuri, where we will visit the architectural complex - the former residence of the princes Aragvetsky. The churches and medieval towers of Ananuri rise majestically above the Zhinvali lake, surrounded by the slopes of the Caucasus Mountains. At Pasanuari, you will try khinkali for lunch. After lunch, go to Kazbegi. Upon arrival in Kazbegi, a change of car for an SUV and the ascent to the Trinity Church of Gergeti, located at an altitude of 2170 meters above sea level. In good weather, you can enjoy the stunning views of the famous Mount Kazbek. Return to Gudauri. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 5: Tbilisi - Mtskheta - Gori - Uplistsikhe - Borjomi
At 08:30 am departure to Mtskheta is one of the oldest cultural and religious centers of Georgia. On the way, stop at the monastery Jvari (Cross Monastery), located on the top of a hill and built in the 6th century. Mtskheta is located 35 km from Tbilisi and attracts tourists with its famous Svetitskhoveli Cathedral. Continue tour trip to Gori. On the way, you will visit a wine farm in Nebi-Aslanishvili in the village of Chardakhi and enjoy traditional Georgian dishes and wine. Chinuri wine is produced here. Then you will have an excursion in the Joseph Stalin Museum, which has more than 60,000 artifacts from the life of the leader of the USSR. The museum also owns the famous armored train, where Stalin traveled to the Yalta and Potsdam conferences. Then you will go to Uplistsikhe, a cave-fortress city, carved into the volcanic cliffs of the Kvernaki ridge. Uplistsikhe was a cult temple settlement, a major pagan center before the adoption of Christianity by Georgia. The fortress city fascinates with its unusual appearance. Like gigantic pores on the rocks, cave grottoes are gaping, inside of which life once boiled. The next stop will be in Borjomi. You will walk along the National Park known all over the world, where you can drink real Borjomi water directly from the source. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 6: Borjomi - Vardzia - Akhaltsikhe - Tbilisi
In the morning, you will visit Vardzia, a unique cave city, in which an ancient monastery and wall paintings of the 12th century have been preserved to this day. Return to Akhaltsikhe, where you will discover the Rabati fortress. The name of the fortress comes from the Arabic word meaning “fortified place”. The old stone fortress of Rabati stands on a small hill on the very bank of the Potskhovi River. Return to Tbilisi. Overnight at the hotel.
